The federal CARES Act provides approximately $5 million toward Buffalo State College students. Students that have experienced financial hardship as a result of transitioning to online learning are encouraged to submit an application if they meet the eligibility requirements below.

The maximum 2020-2021 CARES Emergency Fund award per student is $6,195. However, in an effort to help as many needy students as possible that were impacted by the COVID-19 disruption, the CARES Workgroup will determine the final award amount per student.
